It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Just had to bin an otherwise perfectly serviceable pair of Puma tracky bottoms because the elastic waistband has perished after just twenty-five years of use.

needless to say I will be sending a strongly worded e-mail to Mr Puma regarding the shoddy quality of his products.

Thats disgusting, they should have lasted at least 30 years!

Maybe you could offer them to the Puma museum as an exhibit of some of their first consumer sweat pants. cant be too many pairs still hanging around after 25 years?

I would have taken them back where I bought them but the shop no longer exists. Nor does the building it was in for that matter.

To be fair they did have a tough life, with all that standing up and sitting down. But they can be rescued - just get down to your local haberdashery, they'll see you right

    This is classic

watching 'The Professionals'. A baddie has it in for Doyle as Doyle had shot dead his younger brother some years previously. He's even kept the newspaper clippings pasted onto a bit of card which he chucks across the room at his girlfriend. We zoom in to see the headlines 'Youth Shot By Squad Man' and 'Youth Dies.'

But back in 1979 they never realised that people would have 55 inch high definition monitors in their homes, so now we can see what the articles say. One is a story about people protesting outside a church as their vicar has been in a 'love triangle', the other is a piece about Rolf Harris saying he would like to star in a 'sexy film' because he wants to change his image.

Just wait up a bit Rolf, it'll happen.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
