I'm really pleased with the new PSU, it's miles better than the Maplins PSU and Sbooster I had before.
I'm just debating what to do with the old SBT and bits, I might hang onto them, if the AppleTV 2 is anything to go by, I think once the SBT is out of production, the price will go through the roof.

I'm hoping that these are a bit of a 'sleeper' and will sound as good (or hopefully better) than the, much more expensive, usual suspects (Tung Sols, Sylvania, Brimar, etc).
I've had good results before with bargain-priced Russian 'super-tubes', so hopefully these will be the same. All will be revealed when they arrive! :cool:

When I was a kid, living in Central Africa in the mid 70's we used to get the most outrageous Chinese fireworks. There was one legendary night on the balcony of our house when a neighbour (an adult at that) placed a thing called a 'Thunder Bunger' underneath a large oval shaped enamelled steel pot.
Said pot proceeded upwards in short order to visit the great panel beater in the sky and returned after what seemed like minutes, clattering to the ground. On inspection it was found to be more round than oval and with several bulges to the base.
The next logical thought was "What if we try two?"
The pot went into orbit and was never seen or heard from again.
Oddly enough, there was also a strangely coincidental outbreak of bushfires that night, with our house at the centr, & which razed one or two square kilometers of sub-Saharan African Savannah to the ground!
Actually I guess most of us here know nothing....
Obviously I was saying that the thing I heard as a kid was loud, very!
But we know nothing of bombs, really, I know I am, & we all should be kind of thankful that we don't know what a little bomb, 100lbs of high explosive goes off like at fairly close quarters ;)
I'd say "thank god", but I don't believe in him, that we have had relative peace since before I was born.
Something that I reckon we take for granted unfortunately.

The designs from the MK II P50 onwards were Stan C's designs, as far as I know.
I just love the look of them - and they can be made to sound pretty good.
