It would be great to hear these as they have always looked like interesting speakers to me and there's a little connection story between these speakers and Siegfried Linkwitz. Laurie Fincham at KEF, who I'm pretty sure designed the 105s, and Sigfried Linkwitz were good friends and communicated regularly during the 70s, particularly around crossover design. Fincham was especially interested in this new crossover topology that Linkwitz and his Hewlett-Packard workmate Russ Riley had developed. The original idea of cascading two Butterworth filters actually came from Russ Riley. It was known around the Hewlett-Packard hifi group as the Riley-Linkwitz filter.Quote:
