Difficult to beat a good bonfire. I build them quite regularly as I have so much garden waste.
Our 8 year old Grandson helped me with a huge one back in the Summer. Several weeks of waste plus a fence and gate went on. I kitted the little fella out with gloves and safety glasses. He said it was "awesome", "best thing he has ever done"...:smoking:
My neighbour and mate is a bonfire man too. has one every week. Brought his nephew once(a teenager) who stated it was the best evening ever.
All those fancy motors with 'matt' paintwork will be heading for the spray shop soon I reckon for a coat of clear gloss or a full respray, what with the local yobos getting their manky ten year old lowered Golfs and Astras sprayed over with matt lacquer to match the look, it's beginning to take the whole image a downmarket.
Not to mention that those matt finishes are a pain to keep looking good. They mark very easily.
With some cars the matt finish can look very good. Probably just a fad; same as having gold-coloured alloy wheels and removing all insignia from the body work. Hadn't really thought about the maintenance of the matt finish. I first saw a car with a dark grey matt finish a couple of years ago in Africa - it looked very smart.Quote:

Had a chat with an Amazon delivery guy the other day. He loves the job. Get's paid £150 per day (not sure if petrol etc on top) and there is a maximum number of deliveries per day - average about 80. Sometimes, he said, he can get around in about 6 hours. The app he has from Amazon optimises the delivery points so hardly ever wasted part trips.Quote:
