Jean Michel Jarre - Aero. As I've not got this myself, I borrowed it from my mate who's a big fan; good album if, like me, you like this kind of music !!!
I had to look this one up - it looks like a best-of, with bonus DVD. Do you not already have all these tracks? I bet you have :)Quote:

Yes, but on this album, the songs are done in a different way - remixed and they blend into eachother with strange sound effects; I really like this album - perhaps give it a spin to see if you like it on spotify if it's there or Tidal etc. I liked it that much, I've just bought the CD/DVD version off ebay for £3.00 with free post from Music Magpie. Their is one left I think so be quick if you want it before someone else sees it. :)
Good one there. :)Quote:

Where do you file this? Mine is filed under "Jazz", but it's not obvious where it should go. :scratch:Quote:

One that is now on my list. I've heard it before, but on that set up at Nebo it all came together :) I'll be getting it on CD though, I'm not paying that kind of money for vinyl.Quote:

Archangel Gabriel is a bloke so probably for the best.Quote:

I'd always assumed it was the result of just the right amount of acid :) So Gabriel is a bloke? Not really bloke-shaped is he. But in a world where bongos are a viable form of transport anything's possible.Quote:

I have this filed under 'S' in my general section for two reasons, firstly I have a few of his records, not all of which are Jazz, so they are all together. Also, there is so much Jazz infused Funk, Prog, Blues etc. where do you draw the line ? For me, I keep my separate Jazz section for trad, and anything else, say Sun Ra, John McLaughlin etc. goes in with everything else.Quote:

After that, with his later albums, he became much more pop (a period of his that I never liked).
Another good one, though maybe not his best.Quote:

I really wanted to hear her version of "Wild is the Wind" (included here), and I have to say I prefer it to Bowie's version. Shame about all the sibilance on her voice though. Oh well you can't have everything.
Also at the car boot I picked up a CD copy of Lou Reed's Transformer, as I wasn't sure if I already had it. Turns out I have  So if anyone out there wants a free copy of this, look no further :) I don't have enough shelf space to be hanging on to duplicates.
i dont have that one...god knows ive loads of hers, but not that. dont recall seeing it either. maybe a sort of best of??Quote:
