I bought one of these recently from a US seller and it is a superb cartridge. The seller of the above item was also selling an MC-1S (which is the normal half inch mount variant; the MC-1x plugs straight into an SME headshell mount) but it was gone within an hour or so of listing and I was too slow! :(

I note that the Lockwood Majors (with Tannoy Reds in) went for £5101.90: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tannoy-Loc...c=1&rmvSB=true

Good price, and still a bargain, considering the performance that these speakers are capable of! :)

I believe there is a remote for these. I've never had one with those I've owned though. I suspect it may be an optional extra like the phono stage. Presumably, any Denon amplifier or system remote is likely to work with it.

Mordaunt Short MS737 speakers. These are a bit special. They have the big Decca London ribbon horn tweeter!!

The cabs are the same as mine. Note the open aperture at the bottom, no front plinth.

Very tasty price though... :)
