Ms. Harvey does seem to have quite a following. I do have that last one you played, and it's a "deluxe edition"! (one extra track by the look of it), but I didn't care for it much. Maybe I should listen harder.
Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea is a brilliant album, I love the two Thom York collaborations, though strangely I could never really get into Radiohead (despite owning a few if not all of their albums.)
I haven't played any of her stuff for a long time. She's a bit of an angry lass, and I went through a period when I liked female singers with 'attitude'.
You might try listening to 'To Bring You My Love'.
I agree about the Radiohead albums - I really wanted to like them and I think I may have all of their albums. But they get very occasional play and I usually give up after a few tracks. I do like Ok Computer though, and Kid A a bit.Quote:

Good choices Alex, most are frequent plays round here, especially Everything But The Girl. Do you have "Walking Wounded"? Beautifully produced, and Tracy Thorn's voice I could listen to all day. I vaguely remember 10,000 Maniacs, and I did have one of their albums, can't remember which one. How does her solo effort compare?

Californian Trip/Hop/Chillout - it’s a good play once in a while, my favourite track is the opener Never The Same and so is on my compilations, but the album never eclipses the first track in my opinion, but that’s probably due to overfamiliarity. I’ve not got any of their other albums (this was their debut) so may have to look into that.Quote:
