I often find I don’t necessarily have to like the artist if the SQ is top notch - you can’t beat a well made album:)
I sometimes find this with live shows on Sky Arts - I drop upon a gig by someone I'm not fussed about, but top notch sound engineering keeps me watching, and I find I quite like them after all :)

Not keen on Greatest hits myself either- however I did like the old Label samplers - eg - Suck it and See (vertigo) and A Harvest Bagfull - there were others I can’t remember

There is a difference between Greatest Hits and Label Samplers. Of the latter, the ones which were formative in my musical tastes were: 'The Rock Machine Turns You On' (CBS); 'You Can All Join In' (Island Records) and 'Backtrack' (Track Records). Thanks to them I was introduced to so many artist(e)s whose work forms a significant part of my collection.Quote:

I don’t really do streaming I’m almost 100% vinyl - very occasionally have a bit of Spotify on the phone in the Van :eyebrows:
You can rip your vinyl collection onto a streaming set-up, simply for when it's more convenient to listen to the music that way, and keep playing it 'properly' for serious listening;)
The point being is that there are many ways to skin a cat, as it were....:)
