The nitrogen thing is quite a well known tweak - Ed China uses it on a Wheeler Dealers episode, can't recall what car but it is something sporty. Probably not worth the extra outlay for a Fiat Panda though.

It basically eliminates moisture inside the tyre.
It is used on aircraft where temperatures can reach -40 degrees C in flight, and Is used in motorsport to decrease tyre temperatures.
The main advantage in passenger cars is a lack of corrosion, and a slower rate of pressure loss. If you check your tyres regularly, it's probably not worth it.

A tweak that makes more sense to me is the use of non water coolants. There are obvious benefits and the only downside I can think of is if some nerk at the service centre tops your car up with water/antifreeze and cocks it all up.

In the Brabby, it's 12 litres! And Evans Powercool 180 coolant costs £29.95 for 5 litres, plus you need the same amount of prep fluid as coolant, and that's £15.99 for 5 litres, so you can work it out for yourself... :eek:
The advantage, of course, is that it's permanent, so if you're going to keep your car for a while, it pays for itself in the long run.

It's not that impractical, seats 4 in reasonable comfort and has a boot.
it would break the immutable rule about never buying French or Italian cars, though...
Expensive way to buy a less practical version of the Punto though.
Not as bad as the ludicrously priced 'Ferrari' version though.
