Some people frown on 'Best of' collections, but I find them useful if I want to hear an artist or group, but can't make up my mind which stand-alone title to play. The trouble often is which is the best of the 'Best of's ?
Well if you are looking for a best of collection of Steely Dan, I can recommend:
Steely Dan - 'The Definitive Collection'
It contains the track 'FM' which I think was mentioned by Pigmy Pony.
Thanks for that Barry. Many here regularly play Steely Dan Albums and I have never knowingly heard a track by them, so, this could be a very useful short cut to determine if I would like them.Quote:

Picked this up in Oxfam for 50p. it is a collection of pop, rock and jazz covers by a duo consisting of Luca Fattori (vogal and tape loops) and Tiziano Zanotti (double bass and tape loops). Sad to say I found it disappointing: the jazz numbers degenerated into not very good 'scat' singing, and the double bass dominated all of the tracks.
So back to Oxfam it goes.

I saw Wolf Alice do a couple of songs on Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago. Lead singer had some presence, and I liked the music, though I wasn't expecting to. I'd decided to look into their music some more, then forgot. So thanks for the reminder :)
