Run by .... Alan ... for about 35 years, on his own. Loads of rock, soul, jazz, blues, dance, techno, the lot. Mostly vinyl, also CDs, virtually all second hand.

Restocks for a few hours every morning, so opens at 11:30.
Stuff piled up everywhere. Great for a rummage.
Always good quality discs, no quibble returns, rarities, good prices and discounts, and turns over a lot of stock, so always something new.
Alan knows just about everything about every disc ever issued, has an infallible stock system planted between his ears and takes orders.
Not sure if he owns a computer (if he does it will be old and dusty), so no online store and I doubt he posts anything. Just lots of local regulars.
Last two purchases, NM copies of Pablo Honey and the Yes album.

Retrobloke.com used to have a shop 5 minutes the other direction, at least 30 years, closed last August. Overpriced in my book, now online only and deals more in rarities.
Off topic, get most new discs from Tim at What Records, much cheaper than Rough Trade etc, and has lots of specials.

This is second hand records for posh people. Everything immaculate, as new, and discs kept behind the counter. Lots of great posters.
Otherwise, Camden is full of bootlegs.

Alan does mostly UK pressings whilst Alan tells me Flashback does a lot of imports. Flashback is near Angel tube and Sadler's Wells (my second home - so passes Marco's test), but I haven't been in for ages. Ideal for those in town for a day and loads of fantastic and reasonable restaurants nearby.
