I think it is about 2.5 Ohms.

I swear, I had the middle led's on at modest volume with the BC2's - and they can't go that loud in any case, especially at their great age. Mind you, an assumed 6db sensitivity difference between yours and my speakers is four times more power needed for the same volume...
Either that or you have dodgy crossovers in your Spendors.
Compacts need a bit of power to go loud. I'd imagine Spendors would too, but not that amount unless you are stone deaf. ................... or as Martin says, the speakers need some attention. Ive ran compacts on a 20w t amp. didnt go very loud and sounded poor; needed more current(not a benign load
Just can't see any reason why a Krell should struggle with a BC2. Really odd.
BC2's are a fairly easy load and IIRC about 87dB/W. Mine work great with my Leak Stereo 20 ;)
Just got an LED to light for about 2 seconds. With some hip hop though. Just after I turned the level up by 3dB. Not done it since though.
The JM Labs I'm using are a bit mid forward, just a touch but enough to give a it more presence that makes you keep the volume down, wheras I guess the Spendor has a BBC dip, Or Dave likes to blast it out. Or both, Fifty watts isn't that much really.
Yes I did. As thick as a baby's arm.
Well not quite. But it is hefty. I did take the precaution of skimming the manual before hooking it up. I mean something like this you don't piss about, Like the first time you get a hold of a proper firearm. You're excited but cautious too
