However eBay is now holding on to any sale proceeds I might make for two weeks after the transaction due to me being an "infrequent seller". Apparently this is to ensure great service to buyers and allow time for any disputes to be resolved. But to me it sucks. And why they didn't do this in the early days when it was like the wild west with so-called sellers who had minimal track record ripping people off I don't know (well, I do, their priority was to grow the business).
Back in the day part of the appeal of eBay was that it was a bit of fun. I guess all these businesses push their models to see how far they can go until there's a tilt point where customers walk. Anyway, I'm now researching alternatives (yep, I know there's an option here, although the next thing I'm hoping to sell is fishing tackle so it's probably not appropriate).
