Well when it comes to muesli, you do get what you pay for. Which brand do you go for Barry? I feel a muesli purchase coming on, not had any in ages.

They have become quite expensive of late (now £4.10 a packet), but often the local Co-op will sell them as a loss leader for £2.50 a packet. When the reductions occur, I will 'stock up'. Otherwise I may buy museli ifrom Holland and Barrett, to which I will add a mixture of nuts.
I will look out for them. I don't know if Co-op is having an upturn in fortunes, but several new stores have been appearing round here lately, and existing ones getting a facelift.
never could get a taste for muesli. always liked wheatabix and all bran original.. but im anti gluten now so pretty much dont get cereal
I avoid Nestles because their products are cack. Especially their chocolate. If I can call it that.
Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500*for £596,250??
A new world record..

Sold a car yesterday, first time since 2005. Felt like Mike Brewer. 'Nice little profit for me and Ed.'
Got the thumbs-up from Arfur :)

It was my mother's car, She decided to pack in driving. My brother wanted to sell it to 'We stitch you up for any car' but I wasn't having that.
I can sort you out with a van through work, they are always selling vehicles. You'd have to collect it from Stoke or Tonbridge Wells though so not very convenient.
Going here tomorrow, for a 3 day stay. Looks a bit too posh for us, we'll be like Beverly Hillbillies. But should be a nice break. We're getting some walking boots later, though getting from the car park to the shops and cafes will probably be as arduous as it gets. We'll be like all the other folks we take the mickey out of, looking ready an Everest expedition while exercising their handbag dogs.

Have a good time mate.
id be scared to dirty the place up:lol:
hope you enjoy it both
Thanks guys, I think it is just a bit ott, and I'm not sure i can relax properly in a space that pristine. As long as it's clean enough that if I drop my burger on the floor i can pick it up and eat it, that'll do for me.
But less than £100 per night for the two of us, that's not bad. Won't be that cheap by Easter, when the hoardes descend :)
pics will have been taken when everything was crisp and new, and fully set for pics, so it may not look quite as it does in pics
I went into the office of the local double glazing company who provided much of my jobs for the past 3 years, and told them to stick their work where the sun don't shine. In the politest possible way. Too much grief for too little money. I did my sums and decided I can do as well going back on my own, doing just a couple of days a week - finally I will be back in charge of my diary.
I came away feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and Mrs. P is really chuffed too. She'll change her mind soon enough after a few weeks of me under her feet with my music tastes
I can now wear my old Plain Lazy t shirt with pride, though I may have to shed a few pounds - it seems to have shrunk in the wash.

My dog is a bit ugly. I wonder if a vinyl wrap would help? :D

looks like shes wanting more of something lol
Got to be careful with vinyl wraps, especially if your dog is prone to breathing problems. maybe try a bit of jewellery, worked for this little chap:

Thanks Barry - I agree, those folk know how to make a beautiful landscape look untidy, they're like walking litter. Their justification would be that they can more easily be found if they get lost on the fells. Though most of them won't climb any further than upstairs at the Beatrix Potter museum.
I see Herne Bay, Kent has been voted 'worst seaside town' in Kent by Which? Presumably, because it is not 'touristy' and over-commercialised.
Suits me, our other place is there and it's a tidy, fairly calm and relaxed town and less impacted by all the holidaymaker hassle :).

'We haven’t got a McDonald’s or a Costa.'
There's you're problem right there. Your hipster needs his five quid coffee or it's not happening and your chav needs his burger or likewise. How can they feed their children if there's no Maccie-D?
I bet there's no safe spaces for people who are gender-curious either. Seems to me they need to get their act together.
Probably tripping over monuments to slavery as well. They'll all need to come down.
got a costa opened just a few months ago here. its not bang in town but next to mcdonalds.. dunno if its used a lot or not but mcdonalds is so...probably will be.
Costa is 3 times the cost of McDonald's coffee, and really no better. But Mrs. P drags me into one wherever we go.
my coffee machine cost a fortune but every coffee i make is much better and cheaper than getting one from a shop and it hopefully will pay for itself that way. its great that it does most of it itself and is pretty top notch coffee. as i cant stand for long its a big boon. not sure ive had a costa but had a mcdonalds once and it was drinkable.
only time ive used a coffee shop is when ive been away from home for say a holiday(which doesn''t happen these days) or maybe in a restaurant etc again pretty rare. anytime im out im usually driving so just have a coke... coke and coffee? too much caffeine but occasionally lol
the tesco delivery van went to my sons instead of me.. he had to take it back to van and come round corner to me lol
