Difficult to beat a good bonfire. I build them quite regularly as I have so much garden waste.

Our 8 year old Grandson helped me with a huge one back in the Summer. Several weeks of waste plus a fence and gate went on. I kitted the little fella out with gloves and safety glasses. He said it was "awesome", "best thing he has ever done"...:smoking:

My neighbour and mate is a bonfire man too. has one every week. Brought his nephew once(a teenager) who stated it was the best evening ever.

All those fancy motors with 'matt' paintwork will be heading for the spray shop soon I reckon for a coat of clear gloss or a full respray, what with the local yobos getting their manky ten year old lowered Golfs and Astras sprayed over with matt lacquer to match the look, it's beginning to take the whole image a downmarket.

Not to mention that those matt finishes are a pain to keep looking good. They mark very easily.

With some cars the matt finish can look very good. Probably just a fad; same as having gold-coloured alloy wheels and removing all insignia from the body work. Hadn't really thought about the maintenance of the matt finish. I first saw a car with a dark grey matt finish a couple of years ago in Africa - it looked very smart.

Went to a boot sale today. Last of the big spenders; I spent £1 on a couple of books.

Have had a couple of next day deliveries from Amazon. How do they do it at no cost?

Had a chat with an Amazon delivery guy the other day. He loves the job. Get's paid £150 per day (not sure if petrol etc on top) and there is a maximum number of deliveries per day - average about 80. Sometimes, he said, he can get around in about 6 hours. The app he has from Amazon optimises the delivery points so hardly ever wasted part trips.

I was right. I smell as though I've been partially incinerated. Singed off a fair bit of hair on the forearms and got a big graze on the left elbow, plus a few other nicks. :D

should have got the kids to nick it for guy fawkes.. Just put a sign on saying keep away from my rubbish ;)

Got mountains of further stuff to do Grant. As soon as the family move out, I'm sorting the kitchen, main bedroom and my 'den'. The garden needs landscaping (after a fashion) and I have a fence to erect, plus a workshop to finish. Not to mention the HI-Fi projects in hand! :rolleyes:

Try a vaper if you think you'll struggle. Alcohol is easy. I occasionally have a beer but mostly non slcoholic

I like a beer, but two is my self imposed limit these days. The fags, I struggle with, but can do without. Drives me a bit loopy for a few days though, concentration and eyesight buggered for a while. An 'E' Cigarette helps. Neither do me any favours and being on pensions means the money saved would be handy.

Now what other vices can I take up. Hmm. :hmm:

Ive found this big vaper handy for when feel like it. No nasties and lots of different juices fairly cheap too if you look around. Best getting a good adjustable one tho as it makes a difference. Costs very little once bought especially as you don't need it all time. If anything it's helped my breathing

I'm being booted out of the house later this morning. A person from 'education' is coming to chat with my daughter and her two kids. Apparently, I and the dog have to be out, as the daughter regards us as an unpredictable liability. She's probably right, I'm not keen on anybody 'official' and might stir things up. And, the dog likes eating strangers. :lol:

Last time I saw it, it was upstairs in the airing cupboard (underneath your secret stash of ladies shapewear), just to the left of some gimp masks and plastic fasteners, jammed in between books on 'Discovering your Inner Woman' and 'How to Remove Stubborn Stains from Vintage Corsetry'.
