Do you have many DAT tapes, Martin? I never tried the format, nor MiniDisc, but then I was late to the CD party too, although they did stick around longer!
Nor I - I have software on three storage formats: LP, CD and reel-to-reel tape. Used to have a lot of music on cassette, recorded to play in the car. I still have a couple of Nakamichi cassette tape decks.
No. I just have a pack of BASF blanks that I've never used. It's hard to find albums on DAT and they're expensive when they do show up.Quote:

Well it certainly looks nice in the setup and fun to have a play with! I think DAT was too expensive for the consumer market, although it was used in recording studios and then for data storage.
That's just reminded me of (Philips?) "DCC" - that didn't last long, either!
