The closest person I can think of is Marco
Bought me some twitters http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3213255470...84.m1497.l2649
Well I've somehow become the owner of a pair of Goodmans Axiom 301 drivers. Wont be doing anything with them for the minute but after the move I'll have a 30x18 listening room :eyebrows: so some 200L cabinets might be quite fun.
Well don't try using the Goodmans Hifax or Midax horns with the 301s. I found the Goodmans horns coloured and unpleasant, doesn't stop them going for silly money now though.
The dimensions of your silver horns should give you an idea of what crossover point to use. I don't have figures handy, but an online search should tell you the cut-off point for a horn mouth that size. Just use a crossover point maybe 20% higher and it should work.
Also good to know. The Goodmans recommended cabinet can be viewed here: http://community.fortunecity.ws/rive...sax201encl.jpg
Jensen BLH cabs look interesting: http://photo.qip.ru/users/yras/4067660/all/?mode=xlarge
I have no idea what will or wont work... This is all completely new to me [hence why I'm doing it... "Normal" stuff has become a bore.]
Just pick up a pair of Tannoy 12" Lancaster or Cheviot cabinets cheap off eBay. Loads being sold lately with people stripping the drivers out. They'll work as the driver will be in the right position and you can brace them internally a bit to improve them. You can mount tweeters in a matching box/module on top!
That's food for thought ! I wouldn't be in a position to build any for months so could be a good idea.
"and amp"... Yeah a Quad 405 ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Vinta...item2eced6af36
There is/was something good in Truro.... But I can't remember what it was! Haha.. Collection only so I didn't bother to watch it. Something that looked to be going cheapish and probably ending today... Might be worth searching through today's ending listings in the hifi section.
Is this the oddest thing ever on Ebay ?

Here's that item in Truro: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Garrard-tr...-/201033511186
401 with SME S2 and SME plinth and probably a cart of some kind. £320 with under 2hrs left, collection only from Truro..
It's almost priced well enough to bother from London..almost.
Oh what?? In the text it says £55 shipping afterall... Err, nothing to see here folks.. It was all a err, joke! No garrard what's it and even if there was it's probably crap and broken so best not bother...
Yeah I've been watching that... Not a bad price in the end.
Good little amp if your local http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/trio-kenwo...item4ad0955910
BEER !
Kenwood KA-2002
September
1 9 7 0
1 9 7 2
Early 1970s low-end combo with the KT-2001 - high-fidelity for the impoverished students with a rising beer budget.
Cheap to buy with all but the essential features removed but an ok trafo and two pairs of bipolar transistors to produce simple, straight, 1970s WATTS.
Weighing 4,8kg, the KA-2002 was no Supreme 1 nor a KA-7002 but one could improve it by using the only high-end feature available :
the pre-out / main-in terminals which allowed to upgrade one part of the KA-2002 with a better, bigger, beefier power amp - more Watts, less beer.
Slightly upgraded as KA-2002A in 1972 : more power, slightly better specifications within the same layout but a less angular design, warmer aluminium anodizing and added sideburns.
Exams passed, successfully : no more beer.
If anyone is near Kidderminster and could collect this, I might be tempted at £10 BIN. I used to have one of these and thought it was a terrific little amp. Don't need it but nostalgia rules and all that. If you are in Worcester area I could get someone to collect it from you eventually. You could play with it in the meantime!!
Look out! More 'White Van Man' speakers:

Anyone recognise the arm ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/record-pla...item5405008a66
These are interesting. Scan Dyna A45 speakers. Big brother to the Dynaco A25. Bet they pack a punch and sound decent!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCANDYNA-A...item338b20d1cb
Scan Dyna and Dynaco used to share speaker product lines.
Quite right.
Billy. Annie's son. Took to making arms when things were getting a bit slack in the Rover's Return in the early '80s. Had the pants sued off him by one G. F. C. Hadcock and took to the bottle spending many years in the wilderness and bit-part appearances. Salvation beckoned when he took the role of haulage supremeo Tom King in Emmerdale in '00s.
It looks like the tonearm's worth £100 alone... If its not knackered.
Sometimes un-restored hadcocks go for little, like £70 (ok, not much off what you said!).
Shame though when those armboards are used for unpopular arms with funny arm-rest holes as they are quite unique and obviously can't easily be replaced by new ones because of the printing.
Here are some interesting speakers even if the seller can't be bothered to post up photos or a description, only screen grabs from probably the auction he bought them from... Seems too low a priced and unusual item to be a scam?
Some Wilmslow Audio speakers which look to be like AudioMaster replicas or similar - Audax tweeter and Dalesford mid/bass. BIN £40 in Notts.

£499 for a pair of tannoy audio metric  don't think there the same pedigree as dual concentrics
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MULLARD-EL...item461a0b121d
Good on them. It would be nice to see "Made in Blackburn" printed on new production valves... Cant see it happening though !
Really good speakers for the price http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rega-Ara-S...item20e01b4a94
Are they better or worst than the kyte's?
Interesting cheap valve amp http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDIOCRIS-...3D291085884937
Any good?
I used to have a CR Developments 6L6 amp, and that was very nice indeed.
AFAIK they were made by a Romanian hobbyist that wound his own transformers thus keeping costs down.

AmDismal over on HFWW used to own one so could be worth asking ? IMO it looks horrible, I wouldnt pay more than £100 for it but each to their own & all that :)
ALCHEMIST Axiom APD26A amp http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALCHEMIST-...item258a23500c
