There is a difference between Greatest Hits and Label Samplers. Of the latter, the ones which were formative in my musical tastes were: 'The Rock Machine Turns You On' (CBS); 'You Can All Join In' (Island Records) and 'Backtrack' (Track Records). Thanks to them I was introduced to so many artist(e)s whose work forms a significant part of my collection.Quote:

Happy told me when she was here that she'd like you to embrace modern technology more and stream music. It's a piece of piss to do, mate, and trust me a great addition to an existing vinyl and CD collection/replay system.
It actually MAKES you enjoy music MORE, as well as discover interesting new stuff!:trust:

Yeah I remember them - as I said I preferred them to Hits records
They did help to introduce new artists to me too :)
I don’t really do streaming I’m almost 100% vinyl - very occasionally have a bit of Spotify on the phone in the Van :eyebrows:
You can rip your vinyl collection onto a streaming set-up, simply for when it's more convenient to listen to the music that way, and keep playing it 'properly' for serious listening;)
The point being is that there are many ways to skin a cat, as it were....:)
