Last week I thought it would be a nice Christmas treat for Anita if I played a record she might like, so I put on Alexander O'Neal's "Hearsay" album. She liked it so much (she used to have it on cassette in her Capri) I said I'd get it on CD for her.
Bought it on Ebay, then was told it would arrive 4th January. Bit late for Christmas, so I went on Amazon and ordered it there. Arrived the next day, then the day after that the Ebay one landed (I'd failed to cancel that one).
So this morning she assumed from the weight and shape (feels like a double!) I'd got her the latest "Now" CD. What a surprise! Two copies of Alexander O'Neal's album! She was very gracious about it. But not so pleased to find I'd accidentally signed up to Amazon Prime, which we already have :(
I really should have gone to a record shop.

Got a ride earlier in my daughter's partner's latest car, a 2018 AMG E63 S. Wet roads, 604bhp and a young man keen to impress is a tricky combination, and how I managed to keep my lunch down I've no idea.
He says his previous three cars (Nissan GTR, Audi RS5, AMG 63 CLS) couldn't come near on the scare-yourself-shitless scale, and I can believe that. Totally bonkers, but a lovely place to be when it isn't moving.

Most of my mates have stupidly fast cars, and I must admit I generally hate it when they want to show me “what I can do”. Even stranger, this last couple of months I see each morning a bloke commuting on a motorized skateboard. e skateboards are illegal on public roads. e scooters, if legitimately hired through a scheme are allowed to be used as its a trial.
trials are being carried out in 32 cities around the UK.
E-scooters hired through these schemes can be ridden on roads and cycle paths and are insured by the operators. The scooters are limited to 15.5mph, with lower limits imposed in some areas via geofencing.

Number 6 could be interesting - making narrow roads impassable if many cars are parked on your side of the road. We have that problem around here with parents parking their cars to collect their kids from school.
Not that I approve of pavement parking, but sometimes it is a necessary evil.
Complete change of subject... does anyone have an iPad Pro and if so what do you think of it? I have an original iPad Air which is now starting to feel sluggish and can’t take the latest iOS upgrades so some apps no longer work, and am thinking of getting a new one, but if I went for the iPad Pro 12.9” it could probably double up as a laptop replacement with a decent keyboard. I never thought I would use an iPad but its probably the device I use most, so a better model might make sense?
