Not too shabby http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BK-Electro...item2a2dcff86a
Surely such lunacy is unsustainable ?
In the past 18 months strange things have happened to the value of proper "poor mans hifi" ... Nad 3020@£100, Dual cs-505@£100, JPW mini-monitors@£50... The list goes on & on. It seems to me that more people are buying "poor mans hifi" thus increasing its value. There are more s/h bargains than ever in the £500-£1000 bracket
There also appears to be lots of confused buyers that are under the false understanding that if its old its good. Sure there are some classic gems but a lot of it is just shite.
I've been watching these. The seller keeps trying to sell them with that ''frozen'' starting price.
I think it's time to reduce the price dude!!
EDIT: It's now BIN!

Hens teeth, and undoubtedly rather better sounding.
Tannoy System 600 nearfield monitors. Cracking little speakers with plenty of punch and great imaging. In Renfrewshire. May go cheap!

I know nothing about these speakers, but being Onkyo, I'll bet they are very good. They look like a quality product and Onkyo have turned out some very fine gear in the past. These are in Fife.

I call these sellers DREAMERS !

Top quality and top of the range Yamaha CR-1000 receiver from the seventies. One of the best of its type, with fabulous build quality. Looks in lovely condition. They don't make them like this anymore. Collect only, London.

I think Chris The Wazood one has one aswell.
Being a fussy git I don't like the sliders... Much prefer CR-1020 / CR-2020 cosmetics.
Yeah, mine's a 1020 - I utterly detest sliders!
What, that Nat Pan thing in your avatar?
.....er, no!
Thought not but how it sounds doesnt matter i suppose ;)
I'm sure it sounds great but you're not the only one with irrational obsessions, you know!!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sennheiser...vip=true&rt=nc
That looks very interesting Jonboy, let us know how it sounds,
:cool:Alan
This isn't a heads-up as it sold a week or so ago, but I'm genuinely surprised this didn't go for more.
SONY TTS-8000
Never seen one of those before Jon, very sixties looking. I've not heard an EL95 amp. I don't know if you got it cheap or paid too much, but it is certainly interesting. I'd change the mains cabling to 'normal' colour coding at the first opportunity, but no doubt you'll have that in hand. And, less important, but I'd wire the DIN connections to 'normal' too. The hum could be anything from bad earthing to a dying capacitor, etc., should be traceable.
