Those Ureis have been on before, and discussed in this thread. Have a feeling they were a grand or so cheaper last time too. The bass units re-foam looks a poor and untidy job.
However, they're over 100db efficient (103db, I think?), and reputed to be able to reproduce a drum kit credibly. How many SWMBO's can you say that of?
Soz for spamming Nial, don't normally look in here so hadn't noticed it,
was in discussion with a ebay seller not long ago for a pair of 811's, agreed on price but flatly refused to post.:(
Anyway, possible steal for someone if it's not a scam.

Surely a scam...if you know enough to write that blurb you know how underpriced that is.
Anyway, anyone close should be just making sure...
Well, they are extremely heavy. I have to take the drivers out of mine if I move them
When I bought my pair of 811's they were local pickup only. Luckily in a small and unlikely village only a few miles away. And listed as spares or repair. Bit of a gamble really. Knowing what I know now I'd drive quite a long way for a pair!..
Hah....another Urei user,am curreently using 809's, the pair i looked at was 811C's,
it was in the 'saved search' that alerted me to them 815's, hence i am here. :)
P.S. Glasgow to London was a stretch to far to drive. :(

May be worth a bid, but more likely to be a funny.
Yep, there is a real working version of this combo in perfect condition, and I think he just copied the title. the real one is starting at £300, which is a good buy.
These are quite rare and not too shabby either... a sony idler.

Anyone know anything about these old gals? - Spectrum Speakers - plenty of drive units anyway!!!
http://www.gumtree.com/p/speakers/re...air/1087760171
saw a similar pair but were made in Canada.....They were ok actually. not worth any more I dont think
I like the look of that elliptical midrange unit. I'd guess early 70s, look in really good nick. The HK origin is interesting but there is nothing on the net at all about Spectrum or the Radio People in Kowloon. If they are close to you would be worth a punt for fifty notes.
yes might be. it was a long time ago. might be ok and might be crap. certainly wouldnt spent much on them. theres a set of castle conways on the bay for 70 ono. to put in perspective
Will be a bargain I'm sure... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-of-Bl...item2a470b1eac
Anyone having problems with My Ebay and all items inside this section?
yep, mines been down for a while
Ok, thanks. Thought it was another limit being imposed to my account... pfff. That and the new upcoming increase in selling fees, AGAIN!
From 10% to 10,7% in the final sale value afaik...
Why is there STILL no credible alternative to eBay?
(and don't mention Gumtree, that's becoming more controlling and expensive and it's owned by eBay)
These have now been listed four times with no takers, probably because they're collection only in St Austell. Good buy if you're in the South-West.

The fees are really absurd at this point, and they are leading to 2 issues here.
- Sellers are increasing their asked values to silly amounts to compensate for the very expensive fee's (including P&P).
- Lot's of items not being sold and lots of unprotected parallel offers being made atm, trying to escape both Ebay and Paypal fees
The service is loosing quality, and it's all about the buyers. Sellers are really left unprotected with scammers. I think there's a drop of newly listed items in the overall, and there's also another thing: The present limit for opening a case is 45days (I think) which is silly imho, but Ebay is changing that to 180 days in 2015! Now think about that!!
You sell a CDP, get your money, eventually feedback, and 6 months after you have a open case from the buyer trying to get his money back (and he will succeed) and return the item (probaby not even need to). What in the world are they thinking??!!
i have stopped completely selling on ebay now. it is really a business selling tool now and not what it was meant to be. They dont really want private sellers.
Well, they are getting loads of money with their present configuration. There's no valid alternative in the realms of an open european market, people are stuck and proud of their several hundred figures feedback and it's hard to start everything somewhere else, for everybody.
But the bastards are pushing the envelope, too many requirements, too many restrictions and too expensive to sell something used and private. As soon there's a alternative they will be smelling something else. That is, until they buy the competition. Again.
