Thanks Alan - I'm fairly happy with the way things are sounding at the moment, but also have an Exposure XV sat in the wings for occasional use. It's a better amp than the Naim set-up, especially when using vinyl, but I've invested a bit of time (and £) into getting the 42.5/HiCap/110 sounding good so will be keeping it for a while until it inevitably gets moved on.Quote:

The British HIFI press certainly led us down a merry path didn't they------- Pioneer P3a if only
I like the 42.5/110 its a nice combo, a pair of 110 monos may pip the Exposure which I agree are also excellent amps.

As I said some time ago, I reallyed enjoyed the 42.5/Hi/110 but it wasn't going to be a longterm relationship. Sonneteer wasn't on my radar at all but thanks to a tip-off by a fellow PFM'er I snapped the Campion up. Of course there will be those who bleat 'oh...the latest greatest thing since the last slice of sliced bread' but this little amp is a peach. Not over-burdened with power admittedly, but musically it's a joy - hey, I may even write a review. :)

Looking good, Richard! Always loved Sonneteer amps - true SPPV champions, and like you say, so enjoyable and musical sounding :)
Question is, how long will the system stay ‘as is’, and you just kicking back and enjoying the music, because you’re starting to rival ol’ Jezza in the box-swapping stakes! :eyebrows: ;)
