They were at their peak in the early 90's. They were very good the other night as well, which was a real shock. The lineup has changed a lot, only Ed remains consistent, but the band is very tight; Brandi on bass and Ollie, in particular. It seems they live for the music and Ed's guitar is fantastic. They were always best live versus on record. I'm not sure if the Phoenix would have been the best venue to enjoy the Ozrics. They can work very well in a tent, but stick them on the main stage in front of an indifferent audience I think the magic would be lost.Quote:

Fantastic stuff. I really like these guys and I have most of their albums. I am normally pretty hard on groups that are ....well....clones of others. Gong, Steve Hillage, System 7 and Hawkwind all leap to mind re Ozrics but I still like them.Quote:

If you like their stuff, a lot, check out their website where you can get unreleased and live stuff in FLAC format. Proper price for an album's worth of material, but they deserve to make a living. It's nice to be able to hear some of the offshoots properly, like Nodens Ictus, one of their more ambient side-projects.
