The next stage of the system downsizing begins and up for sale is this Brinkmann 10 tonearm. For those that have not come across Brinkmann arms before they are an engineering delight. Easy to set up and use, they are sonically transparent in use, and are designed and built to last.
There is not a huge amount of information available on the web and the most informative is Brinkmann's own paper which can be found here, Section 12 Pages 23 to 30 being the relevant ones:

I bought this in used as new condition 3 years ago from a UK Brinkmann dealership, and it has had exceedingly light use since. They cost new around £2600.
Pivot to Spindle distance is 243mm
Effective mass 14g
Cartridge weight range 4 to 16 g
Mounting collar spigot diameter 20mm
Cable connector standard 5 pin vertical.

It comes in its own wooden box so am happy post anywhere at the buyers cost and risk.

Price: £1000

The Zyx Universe cartridge and tonearm mounting pod shown in the pictures are not included in the price but are available if wanted.

Daft question, maybe, but does it need a collar or is one included??

The collar is included, you can see it in the first 3 pictures. I took it off for the other pictures.

This seems an extremely low price for this arm Clive - are you sure that is all you want to ask for it?

Based on what I paid 3 years ago its fair. I got a good deal when I bought it.

I have a Brinkmann 10.5 arm. It is obviously based on the now unobtainable Breuer arms, and yours is based on the late Herr Breuer's thinking.

Yes, Brinkmann arms are all wonderful pieces of engineering. Good luck with the sale.
