Finally got some pics of my new preamp from Anthony of BTE designs.

Went for the Khozmo stepped (shunt type) and awaiting arrival of the Elma selector switch before it all gets wired up.

I went for an oak frame with black acrylic top, 3 inputs, 2 variable outputs. Total cost £295 inc delivery.

I see this a big risk buying without hearing it. I hope I haven't let the Tisbury lure me into a false sense of security.

Please let us know what you think of it when it's finished. I've got a 306 with a little bear passive and I'm curious if the khozmo would be a worthwhile upgrade.

Hi,

just been doing a google search on stepped attenuator passives - interested to know how you felt about it :)

The Khozmo is one of the best stepped attenuators, I have used then myself.
The one i currently use is the Acoustic Dimension, just as good but currently unavailable.

Looks great and I used a khozmo but ultimately I think I preferred the transformer Hifi collective one
