I wear teeshirts most of the time, but have a real job finding what I want. Most on offer are stupidly thin material, part synthetic and have logos.

I want pure cotton, no logo and decently robust material. It's a bugger finding any at a sane price. The good ones are usually from the US and about forty quid a shot. I'm too tight (sensible?) to pay that.

Pack of 3 Calvin Klein off of Amazon, less than 30 quid and they are very good quality, soft cotton. No visible logos.

Couple of months ago, I filled the incinerator with dead branches, sprayed the whole lot with WD40 and a drop of cellulose thinners, stood well back and tossed a match in. The resulting 'BOOMPH' shook the whole neighbourhood.

Difficult to beat a good bonfire. I build them quite regularly as I have so much garden waste.

Our 8 year old Grandson helped me with a huge one back in the Summer. Several weeks of waste plus a fence and gate went on. I kitted the little fella out with gloves and safety glasses. He said it was "awesome", "best thing he has ever done"...:smoking:

With some cars the matt finish can look very good. Probably just a fad; same as having gold-coloured alloy wheels and removing all insignia from the body work. Hadn't really thought about the maintenance of the matt finish. I first saw a car with a dark grey matt finish a couple of years ago in Africa - it looked very smart.

Had a chat with an Amazon delivery guy the other day. He loves the job. Get's paid £150 per day (not sure if petrol etc on top) and there is a maximum number of deliveries per day - average about 80. Sometimes, he said, he can get around in about 6 hours. The app he has from Amazon optimises the delivery points so hardly ever wasted part trips.

Try a vaper if you think you'll struggle. Alcohol is easy. I occasionally have a beer but mostly non slcoholic

I like a beer, but two is my self imposed limit these days. The fags, I struggle with, but can do without. Drives me a bit loopy for a few days though, concentration and eyesight buggered for a while. An 'E' Cigarette helps. Neither do me any favours and being on pensions means the money saved would be handy.

Now what other vices can I take up. Hmm. :hmm:

Ive found this big vaper handy for when feel like it. No nasties and lots of different juices fairly cheap too if you look around. Best getting a good adjustable one tho as it makes a difference. Costs very little once bought especially as you don't need it all time. If anything it's helped my breathing

Hahaha.... YES, I *would* like to see Barry's sofa, simply because he's a friend, so I'd like to see what his taste is like, and I'm into interior design (as I believe you are, judging by how nice your house was inside last time I was there).

In that respect I've recently been showing pics of my new kitchen, so the enquiry to see Barry's new sofa kind of follows on from that :)

When I bought this house the drains were clogged with fat (amongst numerous other problems, most of which are still extant 20 years on). Had to get Dynorod in. That was fun to watch. All this white crap coming up. Like something from an old Dr Who. Did not take any pics though.

I've seen just about every drainage problem. Big and small.

Drain clearing companies love to insist on using a high pressure water jetting machine, as it tacks a nice big lump of cost onto the bill. Nine times out of ten it's not really needed. Rods & plungers will do the job.

I worked in a warehouse with a bloke like that, His nickname was 'Rancid' and it was well-earned.

Kicked up a stink re the one outside my bedroom. It constantly was cutting out and each time took an age to be fixed, and then lasted a few days. Eventually after a few of us bombarded them they dug it out and rewired that section and put a new on in. Never went out since. Power to the people:D

I reported this on Monday. Apparently the contractor has five days in which to evaluate what may need doing. Then a further five days to fix. Assuming nothing untoward is found, like a severed cable for instance, then the repair period extends to twenty days. The wonders of privatisation!

I'm fairly certain the issue is a damaged cable. The light failed the same day as a publice utility contractor dug the footway up to lay services about fifty yards away.

I just buy cheap reading glasses. As my eyes seem to be equally defective, it works for me. +3.0 strength for reading and PC use. +0.5 for driving.

I refuse to eat Indian food. I worked with the health department now and then during surprise visits to Indian restaurants and fast food places. What I saw during kitchen inspections etc. put me off eating from any of them! Don't like the smelly muck anyway.

However, the Chinese establishments I visited were a complete contrast and spotlessly clean, better than most English cafe's and restaurants.
