Radford Revival

Here's our current setup. Couldn't really get more simple: a Marantz CD63 MkII, an Audiolab 8000C, feeding a restored Leak Stereo 20 (completely un-modified circuit, just all new components, work done by myself). The Leak is using entirely JJ valves.
The speakers are the most interesting part of the system and are RFC Raptors by Paul. These are excellent sounding speakers and genuinely sound like 3-ways, probably down to the very high quality drive units used. The larger than average cabinets used for an 8-inch midbass unit allow for very surprising bass extension.
They are a benign load and the Stereo 20 has no trouble driving them whatsoever, they really will work with as little as 10W. The whole system has an extremely non-fatiguing sound with very good bass extension, it sounds like a far "bigger" system than you might imagine.
The only reason for not using a Radford is simply because I currently don't have one for myself ;)
