I read in the paper about the so-called "Hannibal Lector" killer who was found pulling a woman's eyeballs out and eating her face at the same time while high on cocaine.

It really is the stuff of nightmares just thinking about it :spew::eek:

Mercifully, some might say, the poor woman passed away from the attack and the police did a superb job of tasering the man and giving him a heart attack leading to his death. They should be commended I say.

One thing that bothers me about this appalling tragedy is that the man apparently was pretty calm and lucid in the pub and presumably so when inviting the girl back to the hotel and to his room, hence why she probably agreed to going with him as her suspicions were obviously not raised.

Presumably too on his release he wasn't giving any indications to the authorities about what he would be capable of when released.

That's all I am going to say about this as it just doesn't bear thinking about further.

Couldn't agree more Dave, but a death while in custody is a mandatory process with the police.

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion what the outcome of that enquiry will be, but I hope the police will not be stopped from using tasers again if another situation like that arises. If he had been taking bath salts then extreme force is the only option open.
