Had a few probs wi bluetooth buggering up today so decided a change round of room was required so i could connect via usb (didnt have a long enough cable). Still not ideal but the sound is far better will try post few pics in gallery. Took about 5 hrs to twist things 90 degrees but happy with results helped by some beauty albums tonight.

Adrian,
Have the first track from that album on one of the three “Dali CD” compilations I have, and dynamically it’ll do a lot more than just “Blow the bloody Doors off”, it’s a monster!

Great to know which album it originally came from, sure it’ll sound biblical through the H2’s.
*Adds to Library*
Thanks for the reccy, more good stuff to explore when I’m cutting about in my daytime Pyjama trousers at home for the next while.

I would like to get it on vinyl but when I last looked it was extortionately expensive.

I have the Dali CD you mentioned and often listen to it there are many other excellent tracks on it

Cheers

Depends in my mood at the time Andre!
Mozart to Motörhead, ABBA to Zappa.

Like us all go through phases of liking one over another, seem to be swinging back to my “yoof” a bit recently, Inspiral Carpets, Roses, Happy Monday’s and the like.
...this too shall pass.

Plenty of time on my hands, so looking forward to digging into my collection of weird and wonderful.

Is it Friday again already. Tidal new music day my favourite day of the week to listen to new stuff many from folk ive never heard of.
Added bonus today was i got the adaptor for a silver connections digital cable off Dan (Loosend) to connect my sooloos to tt2, and what a gorgeous sound that has produced.
First album i chose today was Clem Snide - Forever just beyond which tagged as folk. Not a bad album sounds good.
Second album was Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real - Naked Garden tagged as americana, Pop/rock. This album is superb some really good tunes on it check out "Focus on the music", "couldnt break your heart" and "speak the truth". Would have to score it a 10/10 from me.

Like quite a lot of eno tbh especially my life in a bush of ghosts he did with david byrne strange album but well worth a listen.

My listening highlights today have been orb's new one called "the abolition of the royal familia"" some really nice soundscapes. Reminded me in places of art of noise hence next choice :)
art of noise - The seduction of claude debussey classic art of noise worthy of an hours worth of anyones time
Yello - Touch one of their best with a great cameo from trumpet player Till Bronner who i also like. One of my favourite bands was gutted to miss them live in germany the other year. Do hope they tour the UK at some point but they getting on in years so not holding my breath.

I have that - but can't get on with it. Porter has a wonderful voice, but the arrangements are just to smooth and syrupy for my taste.

My thoughts too, but seeing Ivo (Primare) mentioning it prompted me to give it another go. And it must have just caught me in the right mood.

If I ever come round to yours I won't need to bring any of my music as you already have it! I take it you will have heard "Toy" by Yello, one of my favourites which I had to buy on vinyl after hearing it on Firebottle's set up.

Might just play the Eno/Byrne one later. Bought it thirty-odd years ago, but it hasn't had an outing for the last 20 of those.

Have got most if not all of Yello's albums and "toy" also a favourite along with "baby".The track Blender is a right workout for your system.

I was lucky enough to see them headline the last night of Reading rock Festival in 1976, the vision of Mr Harvey marching on stage mock dressed as Hitler singing "Action Strasse" with scantily clad dancing girls in SS uniforms on either side has never quite left me. The rest of the set was something that had to be seen to be believed. By the way we were right down the front stood in about 1 foot of mud, with several Party Four cans each and other stuff.

Family: Entertainment. RSLP 6340.
I'm still surprised just how underated the first 3 Family's are. Again could only be late 60's.

Agreed. After 'Anyway', Roger Chapman stopped singing and started screeching instead. Rick Gretch left the group after 'Entertainment' which was a loss IMO.

First time I heard his stuff though it was some old Guy from the 1920’s...nope, it’s an Australian in his 40’s...

Probably the most important link in the hifi chain is an understanding missus - if you have one, no need to upgrade :) You should tell us more about her, then we know what to look out for :D
