Currently a solution looking for a problem but I'm sure I'll find a use

Often standard fair in the A/V industry but for keeping the cables coiled when in storage. I've picked up many over the years..

What you need though is some kind of framework to tie the cables to, and if you want to be all foo (or not foo) about it, probably something not metallic or at least non ferrous to tie them to. A grid would be good to get cables crossing at 90' to each other.

Actually, most ideal yet over the top would be a 3D grid like a wine rack behind the stand...

There are also re-usable standard cable ties with a button to release the ratchet, although you can release normal ones with a fine blade or pin (which is why I've never understood their use by police and army etc in US).

Reusable is good. That's what I'll buy next time I need some

The velcro adds something that may be useful - don't know what though !
