The World Cup will be a nice distraction :)
There's a parade in Manchester tomorrow night, then I believe our boys are off to Abu Dhabi on Thursday to play in an exhibition match.

Looking forward to seeing Yaya play in the WC, shame that Bale and Ramsey won't be involved, head and shoulders above any English players at the moment.

City undoubtedly deserve the title. i dont think its possible to win a league without deserving it.
at least we competed this season , even if we ran out of steam at the end.
i think we punched well above our weight, lets hope England do the same.

Ahem, gentlemen. I shall be in East London tomorrow evening where, if God be with us, the mighty Leyton Orient (hurrah) will destroy Peterborough (boo hiss). We'll then lose to Preston in the final :(

For me too, but for different reasons! Still, we get at least 2 chances to hammer Ipswich next season, so not all bad!

Watched the Man City parade this evening on the City website. I've only been gone for 8 years but hardly recognised the city centre!

I only live around 18 miles North, and I get into Manchester fairly regularly with work, and I'm continually surprised to see changes to the centre.
Last time I drove past the BBC studios site it was a hole in the ground ....

Oh yes! Great atmosphere. Roll on the final against.... Rotherham (that was a surprise).

This was a good game to watch (I watched from New Zealand) and the quality of play is so good. Nice finish too - from the standpoint of a neutral.

Interesting difference of opinions here - http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2014/May/Club-statement-16-May
Heartening to hear about the CL stats though :eyebrows:

A cursory glance at the financial returns over the last couple of years has shown an immense downward trend in The Club's losses, and The Owner may soon see a small return on his investment.
Much more exciting is the development across the junction from the stadium, namely the new Academy site https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wabNqKx8FqA .
My son and I already go to as many EDS (u21s) games as we can - the new development brings us much easier access to this.
The new site is scheduled to be operational this Summer.

Commiserations to a very brave and fighting Hull City.

Great goal by Ramsey, pride of Wales. :sheep:

Well done, Chris - I'm pleased for ya! I knew that Wenger would win something significant this year. I just got the competition wrong :)

Thanks Marco

I thought it was game over at 2-0 after 8 minutes, I'd barely made a cup of tea and sat down wtf? nothing new though.

Great and determined fightback and still nearly blew it at the end with Mertasacker getting caught out.

Phew, relieved.

I didn't see the match, but it sounds intriguing!
Well done Arsenal for your hard earned victory, and well done Hull City for making Arsenal's part so difficult - it sounds like it was a proper final

It was Chris, a cracking final, we need more like this, ok the quality was lacking in the 1st half but it made for an exciting and entertaining game, incredible effort from Hull, they left everything they had out there on that pitch.

Great goal to win it from Ramsey.

Hopefully he's a lifelong Villa supporter and wants to do his very best for the club.
I wouldn't hold your breath though - remember Thaksin Shinawatra's ownership of Manchester City - they were very shaky times indeed, and I hope that you don't have to put up with some of the shite we had to put up with.

Being an alleged pimp isn't that bad - he could be a banker!
They're the biggest bunch of criminals on the planet ...
