Looks nice, hope the engineering is better than their older bearings, which were a touch 'agricultural' in the early days.

Yes Teres been making DD for a few years now, they make some interesting TTs but hope have better quality control than the Verus drive system

No doubt it sounds good, but it looks too much like an Orbe, and so, aesthetically, a bit staid and boring for me!

You mean Brinkman surely?

Yes, more like a Brinkmann, but distinctly Orbe-like, too. One can go over the top, I feel, with the 'sombre & conservative' all-black look, to the extent that equipment appears as visually bland and 'heavy'... I do love the sound, though, of Brinkmanns...

I also generally dislike the look of T/Ts that don't have a conventional (rectangular) plinth, as for me, most just look wrong and qualify as a failed exercise in minimalism. However, it's merely a personal taste thing! :)

Teres has made some jaw droppingly gorgeous TT's. I'm thinking of the huge ones that look of deep cherry wood. However, I'm not at all fond of this comparatively diminutive, dark entry. The technology therein contained, notwithstanding, it looks a bit lifeless to me.

I hate to point out the obvious here so I will anyway..........

The motors in master cutting lathes are nowhere near this kind of specification so it's a little OTT. They are in fact of Technics design (in the neumann lathes) and look almost identical to the capstan motor in an RS 1500 open reel machine.

Does the capstan motor in the RS 1500 look like a beefed up version of the SP10 motor in a bigger tin?

If you look closely with the exception of the actual mount it is in fact the same motor.
