    A bit of "Split":

Meh, I just watched 'Man from Uncle', the first series in b/w.

    Notorious

A film by Alfred Hitchcock, starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman, as well as the great Claude Rains.

Shown on Talking Pictures TV in B&W. Superb!

Shown on BBC4 the other night. I had forgotten what a good film this is.

    Three Thousand Years of Longing

Shown on Film4 the other night. A lengthy, wordy film with little action, but as a concept I found it fascinating. Definitely worth a second watch.

Currently watching the British Touring Car Championship coverage from Snetterton today (8 hours, but you can fast forward ads and some of the filler) on one screen and some of the Radio 1 Big Weekend on another. Sabrina Carpenter set made me realise I am an old perv, I don’t mind her music but I loved the outfit and white boots…. I’m a sucker for white boots, my wife wore them under her wedding dress!

The colour of the boots would not be a deal breaker for me.

Watching something similar: John Boorman's Hope and Glory.

Set in London during the German air raids, it follows the lives of the families and how they coped with life during the war. Largely seen through the eyes of a 9 year old boy.

Remarkably realistic setting with the bombed out streets and houses.
