I know this album very well, been playing it on and off since it came out in the late eighties. As you say her voice isn't particularly musical but it does have a very appealing naturalness about it. I've always thought the first track is the best and it does sort of write cheques the rest of the album can't quite pay but none the less it's a great listen. I like the easy going nature of the songs and I do like to listen to it while on a long drive. I've given it 8/10 but the first track alone is 11/10 for me. Great choice for the relaunch.
