    Worked up the courage and ventured to the center of the city. Lots of people on the streets, but sidewalks are very messy. I had to wear my mountain hiking boots because they’re more or less water-proof.

    Slight mist coming down here, must mean warmer air on the way in.

    The wind is no longer coming from the east. It is south westerly here now and that usually brings mild temperatures and rain.

    Couple of people I work with have just come over from South Africa. This has been a bit of a baptism of fire for them, they've never experienced properly cold weather.
