The chosen stands have arrived and are doing wonderful work. The booming bass is unsurprisingly gone now and they image with merciless clarity.

    Obligatory foot shot.

    Non obligatory forehead shot.

I just love these "pro" connectors. Clunk click

Is that really your forehead or were you very excited by your new speakers?

Honest guv it was just my head.

Found a DVD player that will do nicely until a black 9000ES comes up.

    Sony NS900V.

Seems to do a good job on SACD and I'm sure it's competent with CD. Came with original box and remote control too.

Just made a nice score on gumtree, Sony TA FA3ES amp and a pair of these beauties for £65.

The speakers will of course be making their way back onto gumtree shortly.

The amp will get a good clean tomorrow and stay for a while as I'm moving the Fostex on.

I shall put the Kords back in until I score some Sony APM22's. If anyone has a pair and fancies a trade...

The amp came up pretty well considering I'm fairly sure it has been stored in a hoover bag.

Sits nicely with the 555 and for now controls the Fostex monitors via its pre outs.

That's it then, I'm officially a Sony fanboy.

Yep full of it. Most came out fairly easy with a hoover but I'll get an airline in there at some point.
