I have a soft spot for old trucks.
I absolutely love your old heap and miss my 1959 Chevy Apache with the stove bolt straight 6, 4 speed granny, and 580 something possi traction rear end, good for 55 miles an hour pulling a small house or not.

Dunno about trucks, but I've got a little Suzuki Carry 1.3 van that I love to bits. I just bought it for fun about five years ago and It's only done a few thousand miles a year since. It's a hoot to drive, amazing on juice, pretty useful and a lot quicker than most people expect. I've soundproofed it a bit and waxoiled it but otherwise it's standard, but in virtually mint condition. I usually have a car or two as well, but the van is my favourite.

(I've also got a soft spot for the Merc 190E and the other W124 models. Not got one currently though, may get another)

Fantastic, Jon! Not sure what we're going to do this year - might get a SWB as my wife won't drive the 110...

Been there and got the t shirt, i had a 67 beetle then a 59 Devon camper fitted with a 1600 twin carb type 3 engine, i then put a type 1 1600 engine back in, i used to be able to get the engine out in 20 mins as they were so easy to fiddle with, 4 bolts and a couple of wires then the throttle linkage and out she came.

went to quite a few VW shows including Bug Jam number 1 and so on, but lost interest and sold it for £500 as a going concern and bought a series 1 80 inch Land Rover fitted with a V6 , this was 25 years ago the splitty would be worth 10k plus now but hey ho,

Is this of some interest to you Andr'e, you don't need a licence for these in France and it looks like they are relaxing the laws over here
