Had a few in my youth - if I recall correctly, they were duplicated on both sides so no need to rewind to play again.

I have a 'Cassingle' of The Happy Mondays Madchester Rave On which plays the same 'programme' both sides. Useful cos there was a drop-out on the first side!

Are you young Al?
I even remember cassette singles being around and I consider myself (falsely, now I actually remember...I forget I'm 35) to be young.
The most annoying thing with them is that charity shops don't understand that they only have 2 songs on yet they ask the same as a full cassette.. You really have to want that B-side or special single version of the song to want them.
Morrisey ones are always worth it for example as he does good B-sides, in fact some of my favourites of his are B-sides.
