Yes but its the blank stare and awkward situation because they know Im right. I know they have been told to get email addresses for marketing purposes or whatever targets they have. They get the hassle in the front line while some manager (probably on 3p an hour more) swans about with KPI sheets
He has worked out that the quickest way to get email addresses is to mention guarantees. There will just be an email check box on his till and he knows its more than cheeky.
Im sick of this micromanagement of young employees to get information or hassle me. I had just left one shop where she was trying to upsell chocolate and prawn crackers at the till. If I had wanted those I would have them in my basket already. Its just all the stuff they cant sell
I feel sorry for the staff. I feel for them as they dont need it and I dont need it
