“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

A mainly digital setup with a musical amplifier and endearing 1970's speakers. A CD player that hardly ever gets used and a turntable that is good enough to remind my how enjoyable my old vinyl is. Some cables and things.

Great stuff, Marco! That's a classic style west coast American pale ale. Delicious! We drink it often...Sierra Nevada and others. Love that style of brew...one of our favourites.

BTW, check the coffee thread - we finally tried that milk you've been on about

    Cheers,
    Svend

Cheers, Svend. It's bloody lovely, so smooth and creamy, but with bags of hoppy flavours! I get it from here: https://www.beersofeurope.co.uk/beer...evada-pale-ale

Would love to try it on draught, in the area of production!

Yeah, those west coast pale ales are wonderful. Citrusy hop flavours...Yum! They are often dry hopped which is why the hop flavour and aroma are so forward. Every craft brewery here in North America tries to nail this style, as it the sign of a good brewery and brewmaster if they get it right. I think Sierra Nevada were the ones to really put this style on the map. If you can find others in this style, do try some more.
    Enjoy!

Edit: try this one too https://www.beersofeurope.co.uk/beer...or-liberty-ale
    Also very good.

Default Wine, Whisky and Real Ale Recommendations

You will also like Goose IPA Marco, or Kona Big Wave. These are both reasonably accessible in the UK.

Am a fan of Anchor Steam Beer too. The Liberty Ale is also a nice one.
Mana Acoustics Racks / Bright Star IsoNodes Decoupling >> Allo DigiOne Player >> Pedja Rogic's Audial Model S DAC + Pioneer PL-71 turntable / Vista Audio phono-1 mk II / Denon PCL-5 headshell / Reson Reca >> LFD DLS >> LFD PA2M (SE) >> Royd RR3s.
