So that's getting on 7 stone lost? That's incredible! I shed 4.5 in 2017, but gradually put back on 2 in 2018/19 - needs permanent change of habits. Hate to say it, but Marco's right - nothing wrong with anything as long as it is in moderation. My downfall in the past was crisps and cheese - when I was dieting they were banned which works when you're "in the zone" and determined, but far better to have a smaller portion of what you like once in a while than make it an ordeal for everyday life.

What has the age of the crockery got to do with the taste of the cooking?

Thats functioning on 1000 cal a day and no more than 100g Carbs. Loads of Exersize, No Booze, No Takeaways, No Crisps, Cakes, Chocky etc. However never once bought low fat, Dietry shit.

Marco is right, indeed but when you are loosing weight you cant eat just anything. However it has to be a total lifestyle change. See i have never been one for eating a lot its just what i was eating on top of Booze. The Booze alone far exceed a safe cal intake per day for a bloke.

Latest is ive actually gone from a size 9 shoe to an 8.

Nothing at all Barry - my "Rocking!" quote was intended to admire both.

    And no fun?

Yups... A lot of the diet shit is full of salt and/or sugar (often disguising the fact), to get you hooked on eating it, not to lose weight. It's all a money-making con. Plus processed food contains little nutrients. Much better to cook from fresh and simply monitor the calories yourself

At the end of the day, it boils down to a very simple equation: if you burn off more calories than you consume, then you'll lose weight, which is why the exercise part is so important!

Well I've not had a shoe size reduction that's for sure! You're right about the booze, and whilst I have no intention of quitting I have cut right back on the beer (still enjoying red wine and the odd whisky) but yes, it's simple maths in the end - 3,500 calories = 1lb of fat - and it doesn't really matter where you cut those calories from, if you consume 3,500 calories in a week less than you burn you will lose a pound, and multiples thereof.
