Because I don't think he's an idiot (he clearly isn't) and whatever I think of the 1922 Committee I don't think that in any way that they could be described as 'fascists.' Unless you're using 'fascist' in the modern sense of 'Anyone who doesn't agree that Socialism is a good idea'. In which case then clearly they would be fascists, but then so would I. So it would sort of make sense that I would vote for him/them.

He's essentially a glorified 'cartoon character' and object of amusement, but not really in a funny way. I suspect one of the reasons you like him is because he's 'quintessentially English' and a bit eccentric. He ticks your boxes, as you're English through and through, and that's fine. I get that.

But consider how you'd feel towards that man if you were Scottish and were majorly offended by his bigoted bias?

I'm NOT English (as you know my nationality is Scottish, with Italian ethnicity), and so have ZERO interest in anything that's PRO-England, in fact I'm staunchly ANTI it, and indeed in being ruled and repeatedly treated as a 'second-class citizen' for decades by successive English governments, especially when I lived in Scotland, which is why I seek Scottish independence.

Btw, the "PRO" bit is key! I'm NOT anti-English. Let me make that crystal clear to everyone. Indeed the vast majority of my friends are English.

I think you should know that Marco is a landlord.

I'm not criticising individual landlords, its just an easy way for anyone with spare cash/credit worthiness for a second mortgage to make money, it requires no specialist knowledge. The overall picture is that - especially for businesses that need a property - it is a huge drain on their resources, and in the light of Covid-19 and the new emerging economic order, it would be a way of creating huge savings for businesses and residential tenants alike without the expense of something like Universal basic income. The only way it will ever happen though is from the ground up, a rent strike for instance.
