    Yeah, that could work. It's not gnocchi, but done right, it would be a tasty dish

    Basically though, if you've got intentions of being a good cook (as opposed to simply someone who heats up 'slabs of sustenance'), the cardinal sin is to overdo things, by using too many different ingredients/combinations of flavours, so that you can't really taste what you're supposed to TASTE, and that's whatever the main ingredient is supposed to be!

    The best cooks/chefs are those who know who to execute the concept of simplicity (and always use the best quality/freshest ingredients), which is fundamentally what *real* Italian food is all about.

    I find the mix of tastes, grape and cheese, very nice. You could include a crackers or a wine of course. But for me this is enough.

    Steak night tonight. Going to do them with skin-on mash and green beans. I have experimented with pretty much every way of doing steak, and always come back to my favourite: sea salt, cracked black pepper and extra virgin olive oil. No oil in the pan, just on the steak. Sometimes I’ll chuck in a knob of butter and a sprig of thyme, basting the steaks for the last 30 seconds or so before resting in foil for 5 mins.
