That's my opinion too, I think it's a snobbery thing and drinkers of brown muck think they are in some sort of implied exclusive club. I've always described 'real ales' as being fit only for washing out paint brushes! And anyway, there's no such thing as Unreal Ale, so other beers (whatever they might be?) are equally valid choices.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
