    Yeah, that's the old-fashioned way of doing it, but then you don't get the texture or flavour sensation of all the accompanying salad/pickles/sauces, etc, as you bite in. Just not the same or as interesting for me

    in a roll i usually stick to soft or softened cheese as a cheeseburger, but no relish, or with either tomato or preferably good brown sauce. not keen on most relish or creams

    Today's scran... Del's homemade gnocchi with homemade tomato and basil sauce, topped with freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano and fresh basil leaves, served with some crusty bread:



    I'd originally decided to have it with a Chianti Riserva DOCG, but it was such a lovely evening that we cracked open a bottle of a rather excellent chilled sparkling rosé, as the princess LOVES pink!



    Both slipped down rather nicely on a hot, sunny evening
