OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?

Tamzin decided last week after going through some of my recipe books that she wanted to make chicken fajitas from “Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals” (yes, that Jamie.) 15 minutes my ass, unless he means how long it takes to eat it? Anyway, family fajitas was a very rare occasion when all four of us ate the same meal and actually all enjoyed it!



The main event:



Guacamole, not part of the 15 minute recipe, but neither were the spicy wedges or Vocation pale ale.



Rice and beans



Salsa - should have had more chipotle and less tomato, and a bit too moist, but was still lovely.



And then mine, ready to roll.




Was actually really really good, we’ll be doing this again, but it appears Tamzin takes after her mother in the messy stakes - gonna take me 15 hours to clean up the kitchen!

It was 'one I prepared earlier', ie found lurking in the bowels of the freezer, so not altogether sure, It appeared to be sausage and red pepper based.

Lol, cool... However, do you not fancy making a proper pasta sauce (ragu or whatever) from scratch, like Grant does? Must you always be the 'leftovers boy'?

I'd like to see you do that for a change, because you're more than capable, mate

Well excuuuuuuuse me!

ALL my pasta sauce is made from scratch, I just generally make more than I need so I have some to freeze for use when I can't be bothered to cook. I don't record the ingredients on the lid of the freezer containers just 'pasta sauce' and the date I froze it but the 'base' generally consists of the same ingredients (plus or minus some of them, nothing's measured) so has the same 'house' flavour. The only difference might be the use of fresh vine tomatoes rather than passata.

So pleased that I am not the only one to find unlabelled bags in freezer
