Indeed, lol... However, venture 10 miles up the road to Chester, and that situation would soon change...

As I've said before, quality of life/happiness is ultimately always more important than how much money you have or the size of the house you live in

In that respect, these days, you'd have to PAY me to live in or around London!

No, but my wife has. She loved it, but that was when she was 30 years younger and single, and London was a very different place...

Don't get me wrong, it'll undoubtedly have its good points, but the good points are unlikely to suit my lifestyle, plus for me, the bad points (such as how expensive and over crowded it is) for me completely outweigh the good points, especially as I'm someone who likes to get the best value for money - a point you've just ably highlighted with house prices!

I was just curious why you railed so vehemently against it at seemingly every opportunity?

You make Wrexham sound like Xanadu & it does sound like a nice place to live but I wouldn't dream of running it down as I have no points of reference other than what you might glean from the internet.

It's like your beef with London is personal?

We could do better! If your budget is £700K you could buy ten houses in my street, never mind four.

Imagine the system we could put together if we pooled our resources AND have an indoor go kart track

No of course not, but for some reason you seem to be taking it personally!

Unfortunately it just represents so much about what I hate about modern (materialistic, commercialised) society, and more and more how the whole world is going. *That* is why it's a major bugbear of mine (and therefore seek to divorce myself from it as much as possible), nothing else - nothing against anyone here who lives there

In that respect, Wrexham is the POLAR opposite of London, which is one of the reasons why despite its MANY faults, I still love living there!

20 bedrooms, ten bathrooms, ten kitchens and an indoor go-kart track all for £700K - got to admit that does sound like value for money.
