I have an Audioquest Optilink 1 that connect my streamer to the Rega DAC.It is an older one, from 2006 I guess.I wonder if is still actual, or if the technology behind optical cables is much better now, and if I need an actual cable...

Glass fibre optical links are much better than plastic ones; have a look around and try one. I use a QED Reference Quartz and it's it exceptional - far better than the Chord I used previously.

Do you think the qed reference would be worth the expense just for TV duties? Cheers Jim
