I was looking for Bucatini in Tesco today. They had none, so I bought Spirali instead.

Love corned beef hash, in fact fancy that now, have you any particular method/ recipe?

This afternoon made a massive pot of vegetable soup, lots of good stuff in it. Will have it tomorrow with some nice bread when a friend visits. He's coming as he wants a hybrid drive fitted to his old PC. This should speed it up a bit for him.

Default OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?

I boil potatoes in small cubes. Don't take long. Majority get mashed rest are just bruised. Add corned beef and some seasoning of choice. I like a bit of chilli or black pepper.

Sometimes add some stock to boiling of tatties

This was my mums recipe and I use it now, I love it with mashed potato. A simple guilty pleasure comfort food dinner.

Tin of corned beef - cut into cubes
    Tin of baked beans
    Cup of frozen peas
    1 large onion, chopped
    Beef OXO cube
    Lea & Perrins
    Black pepper

Sauté the onions in oil or butter, I like butter
In with the beans and peas, heat through till the peas are cooked
Crumble in the OXO cube and add Lea & Perrins, pepper to taste
Finally add the corned beef and stir in, if you add earlier it can turn to mush
    Serve with piping hot mash
