It is indeed. One if the oldest too and AFAIK the only one to use irrigator rings on the still neck. This cools the column and causes the spirit to be lighter and purer.

Can't do this tonight, it's just not the night for for a whiskey best paired with a Limburger cheese and onion on burnt rye sandwich.
I don't think I am an Islay peat bomb kinda guy. It smells a little like stinky feet.
So I decided to have a Glengrant 15 instead.

Can't stomach these smokey ones now. Life's too short as is.. Beautiful flavour is paramount for me, not licking a burnt out house.

Never tried those, I don't drink spirits. But if the smokiness is as bad as that synthetic 'smoked' flavouring used on foods like fish for instance, it'll be revolting.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Same here - I've never liked them, but only until quite recently, mostly from reading your posts on the subject, I didn't really know how to avoid those types of whiskies

It's a personal taste thing, though. In general, I'm not a fan of smoked flavours, unless it's subtle. That includes meats or cheeses.
